One of the first MND Care and Research Centres to be established, with a long track record of delivering high quality clinical research with significant impact.

The Lancashire and South Cumbria Motor Neurone Disease Care and Research Centre, formerly called the Preston Motor Neurone Disease Care and Research Centre, was inaugurated in 1993 and serves an approximate population of 1.6 million in Lancashire and south Cumbria in North West England.  The Centre is based at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and provides holistic and multidisciplinary care to patients with Motor Neurone Disease.  The Centre also participates in number of multicenter research studies and clinical trials.
