Lancashire Neurosciences Centre, based at The Royal Preston Hospital, comprises Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neurophysiology, and Neurorehabilitation and close working with allied disciplines including Neuroradiology and Neuropathology. The population served by the Lancashire Neurosciences Centre is approx. 1.6 million from the catchment area of Lancashire and South Cumbria. 

Patients with a wide range of neurological conditions are seen by the neurology service. The consultant neurologists have a range of areas of subspecialty expertise and research interests, in headache, motor neurone disease, stroke/neurovascular, cognitive/neurodegenerative disorders, cognitive/behavioural neurology, movement disorders including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, dystonia, peripheral nerve disorders, and muscle disorders.
