Professor Suresh Chhetri is a Consultant Neurologist and Clinical Director of Neurology at the regional Neurosciences Centre at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He undertook general medical training at Yorkshire and Manchester and completed neurology training from the Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

He has a clinical and academic interest in Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and related disorders and is the Co-Director of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Motor Neurone Disease Care and Research Centre. He is a member of the UK MND Clinical Studies Group and is involved in a number of multicentre research projects including drug trials.

He has a keen interest in medical education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is an honorary Clinical Professor at the University of Central Lancashire.
