A new collaboration has commenced (from 2021) between Lancaster University and OHID (Office for Health Improvement & Disparities) to work on routine data pertaining to neurological admissions in England. Professors Emsley and Knight are currently working on a project to investigate neurological emergency admissions. This study represents the first large scale analysis of neurological emergency admissions in England, and the first OHID-academic partnership in neurology. For the first time, these data are expected to provide some insight into the number and types of emergency admissions with neurological emergency codes.
