The Connected Health Cities (CHC) project (Innovation Agency, Lancaster University, University of Liverpool) utilised routine healthcare data to improve clinical care. Professor Emsley acted as a deputy clinical lead. This work, which included epilepsy, attracted interest nationally, with the potential for greater involvement in ‘neurology data’ work nationally.

We have used outputs from CHC, including an algorithm to identify patients attending the Emergency Department.

Further information about the CHC project can be found on the Innovation Agency website.
